Relaxation is key to optimal well-being. Between massage/bodywork sessions, it is important to continue to relax the mind and body. Below are a few ways that I recommend:
Bath Soaks: Heat and water; need I say more. Tips:
Add epsom or Dead Sea salts, essential oils, flower petals, fruit slices, clay powders, and any other botanical that you desire.
Don't forget to soak your head. Scoot down in the tub until your entire head/face is submerged, leaving your nose above water.
Listen to your body with regard to temperature and duration.
The key to a successful bath soak is to: 1) designate it as your alone time; 2) don't rush; squeezing in a soak between appointments defeats the purpose; 3) don't put it off; when the thought of a bath soak enters your mind, follow through.
Water is very conducive to receiving insight. Free your mind, relax the body, and let this wealth of your inner knowledge flow into your consciousness.
